Our Story
A social networking app that fosters meaningful connections between neurodivergent people
Connection is harder to come by. Everyone deserves to feel understood, valued, and like they belong — but for up to 20% of the global population who are neurodivergent, this can be especially challenging. Neurodivergent people experience higher rates of loneliness and unemployment, and finding workplaces and opportunities that recognize their value is a constant struggle. It’s time to change that — and that’s why Wable exists.
Inspired by the acclaimed Netflix series Love on the Spectrum, our founder, Holly Fowler, saw a critical gap in modern social and dating apps — a lack of spaces where neurodivergent individuals could form meaningful connections without compromise.
Wable was created with one mission: to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where neurodivergent people can build relationships, friendships, and community, and access workplaces and opportunities that recognize their value.
Today, Wable is helping thousands of people across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the US to connect in ways that feel natural, supportive, and real - bridging the gaps that other apps have left behind.
What we stand for
-
Safety First
Compulsory AI facial recognition checks, one-time passcodes, no sharing of photos, videos, or links, strict monitoring processes, and in-app safety resources from leading counsellor and sexologist Jodi Rodgers (from Love on the Spectrum) — all to ensure authentic connections in a safe and secure environment.
-
Accessibility by Design
Sensory-friendly UI, customisable themes, and interfaces specifically built to accommodate sensory sensitivities and different processing styles.
-
Community Driven
Expert collaboration with counsellors, sexologists, the neurodivergent community, parents, and support workers — all focused on creating authentic, supportive experiences for the neurodivergent community.
-
Holistic Support
Wable offers more than dating — with friendship connections, a neuroinclusive job board, educational resources, a neuroinclusive venue map, and conversation tools to support meaningful interactions throughout the experience.
Holly Fowler, CEO & Founder
“Neurodivergent people are willing and able to have meaningful relationships, make friends, and fall in love. Wable facilitates the connection and is hopefully a helping hand along the way.
