Wable Launches in the UK & US
From Netflix Inspiration to Global Platform: How Love on the Spectrum Sparked a Movement
Five years ago, during COVID lockdown, our founder Holly Fowler was watching the Australian version of Love on the Spectrum when she had an idea that would change everything. Today, that idea has become Wable – a thriving social networking platform serving over 11,000 neurodivergent users across Australia and New Zealand. And now, we're thrilled to announce our expansion into the United Kingdom and United States.

The Spark of an Idea
"I loved Michael Theo, who was the breakout star from the show," Holly recalls. "I admired his unwavering pursuit for love, despite the many challenges he faces as an autistic person." That admiration led Holly to ask a crucial question: where can neurodivergent people go to find connections that truly understand them?
With up to 20 percent of the global population considered neurodivergent – including people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other neurological differences – the need for a dedicated platform was clear. Existing dating and social apps simply weren't meeting the unique needs of this community.
More Than Just a Dating App
Wable is a complete social networking ecosystem designed specifically for neurodivergent minds. Users can choose between three connection types:
Date: Find romantic partners who understand your experience
Friends: Build meaningful friendships with like-minded people
Connect: Network and see where connections naturally develop
What sets Wable apart is our comprehensive Toolbox, featuring:
Video resources from relationship counselor Jodi Rodgers (Love on the Spectrum)
Neuroinclusive job board connecting users with understanding employers
Safe venue map highlighting sensory-friendly locations for dates and meetups
Conversation wheel to help initiate and maintain conversations
Built for Neurodivergent Users
Every feature of Wable has been thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind:
Customizable color schemes for sensory preferences
AI selfie verification for safety and authenticity
No photo/video sharing or link sharing to protect privacy
18+ age restriction with comprehensive verification
Clear, intuitive navigation with consistent design
"The neurodivergent community is experiencing significantly higher rates of loneliness and struggling to find one another," Holly explains. "Modern dating and social apps are falling short for them. From my couch in lockdown, I thought it was time to do something about it."
A Growing Movement
Since launching in Australia, Wable has achieved remarkable milestones:
$1.5 million raised for international expansion
11,000+ users across Australia and New Zealand

High-profile ambassadors including Michael Theo and Aesha Scott (Below Deck, I'm a Celebrity)
Aesha Scott, who has ADHD, recently joined as an ambassador for our US launch, bringing her authentic advocacy for neurodiversity and over 1 million social media followers to help spread awareness.
Success Stories Already Emerging
"We've already seen successful love stories and friendships formed in Australia," Holly shares. "I can't wait to hear our first love story or new friendship in the States. I have a big dream of a Wable wedding – maybe it will be a couple from the US!"
The response from the neurodivergent community has been overwhelmingly positive, with users expressing gratitude for finally having a platform that truly understands their needs.
Available Now in the UK & US
As of this month, Wable is available for download in the United Kingdom and United States, joining our existing communities in Australia and New Zealand.
"How special that we get to be part of this change that's so overdue," Holly says. "It's amazing that something so simple – just allowing up to 20 percent of the population to be who they are and find people that value and understand them exactly as they are – can make such a difference. That's what we all want."
The neurodivergent community has been waiting for Wable. Now, it's here.
